Police want to trace eight people as they make a fresh appeal over the death of a financial adviser after an attack while in fancy dress outside a pub. Gwent Police say seven of the eight people they wanted to trace over the death of a man in fancy dress outside a pub have come forward.
Gareth Davies, 26, from Llangibby, near Usk, Monmouthshire, was dressed as a Ghostbuster when injured trying to break up a fight in Cwmbran a year ago. Detectives say they still want to speak to one woman seen on CCTV cameras near where Gareth Davies was attacked.
Two 22-year-old Cwmbran men who were arrested over his death later in hospital were released without charge. The 26-year-old, from Llangibby, near Usk, Monmouthshire, was dressed as a Ghostbuster when injured trying to break up a fight in Cwmbran a year ago.
His father Keith Davies said the family "need to have some degree of closure". He died in hospital, three days after the assault.
