Hay bales scattered across the motorway have caused problems for motorists on the M9 in Central Scotland.

A lorry driver stuck a bridge over the carriageway at Chartershall, near Stirling, at about 1030 GMT, causing the bales to fall onto the road.

The southbound carriageway was completely closed for a short time to deal with the aftermath of the crash before one lane was reopened.

The driver of the lorry was not injured in the accident.
