Police said the boy's mother tried to save him from the fire which broke out at an address in Brompton Terrace in the Beeston area at about 2240 GMT. | |
The 37-year-old managed to rescue the boy's eight-year-old brother and six-month-old sister. It is understood the elder boy raised the alarm. | |
It is thought the fire was caused by an electrical fault. | |
A West Yorkshire Police spokesman said officers and firefighters were called to the house where the boy's body was recovered from an attic bedroom. | |
