Four charged with terror offences Terror suspects due before court

Four men who were held following raids in Birmingham have been charged with offences under the Terrorism Act, West Midlands Police said. Four men are due to appear at City of Westminster Magistrates Court charged with terrorism offences, following a series of raids in Birmingham.
The men were arrested in dawn raids that took place last Tuesday. The unnamed men, who are all from the area, are suspected of helping to commission acts of terrorism.
West Midlands Police said the arrests had followed a complex investigation by its counter-terrorism unit. They include a 29-year-old from Bordesley Green, a 30-year-old from Sparkbrook, a 34-year-old from Ward End and a 31-year-old from Hodge Hill.
The latter is also charged with failing to disclose relevant information.
West Midlands Police said a fifth man had been released without charge.
The men were arrested during dawn raids in the Sparkhill, Ward End, Hodge Hill, Bordesley Green and Aston areas of Birmingham on 21 October.
