The family of a motorcyclist killed in a collision with a car have paid tribute to a "friendly, lively and outgoing young woman". | |
Victoria Williams, 25, of Llanrumney, Cardiff, died in the collision on Sunday at Hopkinstown, Pontypridd. | |
Her family said she was a "wonderful wife and loving daughter, sister and aunt". | |
Ms Williams worked at a mobile phone company in Cardiff and had recently applied to join the fire service. | |
"She was a friendly, lively and outgoing young woman," her family said in a statement. | |
"Victoria was full of 'joie de vivre' and will be sadly missed by all who knew her." | |
Ms Williams, a former pupil of Corpus Christi High School in Cardiff, was with the Olive Guppy dance school for 18 years and regularly danced in pantomimes at the New Theatre in the city. | |
She was also a fully qualified aircraft engineer. | |
Her black Suzuki motorcycle was in a collision with a red Vauxhall Corsa car at 1716 GMT on the A4058 Hopkinstown Road at its junction with Jenkins Street. The car driver was uninjured. | |
South Wales Police said both vehicles were travelling west at the time in the direction of Porth. | |
A spokesman said it would appear both vehicles had initially travelled along the A4058 from Pontypridd. | |
