A fire has broken out near Hampton Court Palace in south-west London, it has been confirmed. A fire has broken out at a 17th Century mansion near Hampton Court Palace in south-west London.
The fire broke out at Hampton Court Road, at the junction with Thames Street, at about 1215 BST. The fire broke out at David Garrick Mansion on Hampton Court Road, at the junction with Thames Street, at about 1129 BST. No injuries were reported.
London Fire Brigade said it had sent eight fire engines to the scene, which runs parallel to Bushy Park. London Fire Brigade sent 10 fire engines to the scene. Witnesses said work was taking place at the mansion at the time of the blaze.
A spokesman for Transport for London (TfL) described it as a "large incident" and has put bus diversions in place around the "huge" fire. Transport for London has put bus diversions in place around the fire.
The building's roof is entirely alight and half of its second floor is on fire, a fire brigade spokeswoman said.
All occupants of the building have been evacuated.
London Ambulance Service sent two ambulances and a fast response car to the scene, but no patients have been treated.
