He said it was unlikely police would confirm the identities of the two women on Wednesday.
"It is important that if anyone has concerns for the safety of a prostitute in Ipswich that they contact us immediately," Mr Gull said.
The bodies of the five women were dumped after being killed elsewhere, he said.
"We have not found what appear to be murder scenes. We are dealing with sites where the bodies have been dumped and left."
Home Secretary John Reid and Downing Street have contacted Suffolk's Chief Constable Alastair McWhirter to make sure he has enough resources to deal with the current murder inquiry.
The prime minister's spokesman said officials were assured that Mr McWhirter was "happy" with the level of resources he had.
