Woman and young grandson missing Toddler found without grandmother

Police are trying to trace a woman and her young grandson who have gone missing in Ayrshire. A toddler who had been missing for almost a week, along with his grandmother, has been found safe and well, police have said.
Anne Brown, 51, and 20-month-old John Brown were last seen leaving Ms Brown's mother's house in Fenwick at about 1800 BST on Saturday. John Brown, who is 20 months old, was traced to his 21-year-old mother in the Glasgow area.
The woman's black Ford Focus was found on the A735 between Dunlop and Neilston at about 0200 BST on Sunday. Efforts to trace his grandmother Anne Brown, 51, are still ongoing.
Police said they were "extremely concerned for the safety of Ms Brown and the toddler". She and her grandson went missing in Fenwick, Ayrshire, on Saturday evening. Police had said they were "extremely concerned" for the safety of the pair.

Ch Insp Stewart Rorrison, of Strathclyde Police, said: "I would urge anyone who may have seen Anne and John over the last few days or who may have seen her driving the black Ford Focus on Saturday to come forward and contact the police.
"Any information, no matter how trivial it may seem a sighting is vital to this missing person enquiry."
