Parents of children at the school are protesting against the strike. School principal Evelyn Thompson has called on both sides to work together to finding a resolution.
One of them, Karen Hawthorne said children needed to go back to school as soon as possible. "The parents are very concerned about their children," she said.
"It is incumbent on all parties to try and resolve this situation so that these people can get their children back to school."
The parents of the pupils staged a protest against the strike outside the school.
