Police in Nevada are investigating the abduction of a six-year-old boy by suspected drug dealers.

Cole Puffinburger was taken from his home in Las Vegas last week by two men posing as police officers.

His disappearance triggered a huge search. He was found on his own in a street at the weekend.

Investigators are pursuing all lines of inquiry, including unsubstantiated rumours of links between the drugs gang and the boy's family.

Cole was spotted and picked by a bus driver in Las Vegas late on Saturday. Police say he was unharmed.

At a news conference, Cole's father, Robert Puffinburger, cried and thanked police for helping bring the boy home.

"I'm just so glad he's safe," his father said.
