Arrest over two attempted rapes

A 40-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted rape at two Nottinghamshire care homes.

The man was arrested on Thursday in connection with an attack on an elderly woman at Woodthorpe Manor care home in Nottingham on 29 April 2007.

He was also questioned over a second assault at Westwolds Care Centre in Burton Joyce near Nottingham on 8 December 2007.

The man has now been questioned and remains in custody, police said.
