Man remanded on cannabis charges

A man has been remanded in custody charged with growing cannabis in a house in north Belfast.

Zhang Jun, 50, was charged with cultivating cannabis, possessing a class C drug with intent and possessing cannabis.

His solicitor told Belfast Magistrates Court her client, whose address was given as Marsden Gardens, understood the charges against him.

District Judge Ken Nixon remanded the accused in custody to 14 November.
