The West Wing Reports Twitter account run by reporter Paul Brandus noted that there is a medical office in the White House with personnel on duty round the clock, which suggested that the fact that an ambulance was called meant the NSC staffer’s condition was serious. CBS White House reporter Steven Portnoy tweeted that White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders confirmed the staffer is "doing fine and being taken to the hospital out of precaution."
