Following the sentencing Mr Dixon's partner, Anne Fisher, said in a statement: "Stan was standing up for what he believed in and was protecting me at the time. He was an old-fashioned bloke. | |
"Since he died it has been like a bad dream and I can't imagine life without him. I am still devastated at his death, as is my daughter Lauren." | |
His daughter June said: "My father was an old-fashioned, traditional man, who will never be able to see his grandson grow up. | |
"He didn't deserve to die like this but he can now rest in peace and we can all move on." |
