Hundreds of passengers are trapped in a tunnel in south London after the train they were on split in two. About 500 rail passengers were trapped in a tunnel in south London after their train split in two.

Five carriages remained at the station while another five were pulled into the nearby tunnel. All passengers were taken off the train at about 1944 BST before the line was reopened. None are thought to have been injured.
Southeastern Trains has said that engineers are on route to pull the train back into the station. Southeastern Trains said it would launch an investigation into the cause.
No one is believed to have been injured during the incident. When the carriages separated, half the train pulled into the nearby tunnel while the other half remained at the station.
