"We are continuing rescue operations to see if anyone may be still buried under the debris," said an Emergency Situations Ministry spokesman. Health officials said the remote location of the village was hampering rescue efforts.
He said another 50 people were injured and at least 128 houses in Nura had been destroyed. "The picture we saw was frightening. The village of Nura is fully destroyed, 100%, there are many injured," AFP news agency quoted Emergency Situations Minister Kamchybek Tashiyev as saying.
