Youths arrested over fatal fire

Three teenagers have been arrested after an Ayrshire woman died in a house fire while trying to save her children.

Angela Brown, 31, died in hospital after being overcome by the blaze at the house in Culzean Place, Kilwinning, at about 0600 BST on Sunday.

Ms Brown's sons, aged six and 12, are being treated for the effects of smoke. Her three-year-old daughter is being cared for by relatives.

A 13-year-old and two 15-year-olds are expected to appear in court on Friday.

It is understood Ms Brown has two older children who had been staying with friends when the fire broke out at the property.
