Youths in court over teenage rape 13-year-olds facing rape charges

Two youths are expected to appear in court in connection with the rape of a woman in north Belfast. Two 13-year-old boys have appeared in court charged in connection with the rape of a woman in Belfast last week.
The woman, in her late teens, was attacked as she walked through Woodvale Park last Monday evening. One boy is charged with rape, the other with aiding and abetting rape.
One teenager has been charged with rape, attempted rape, armed robbery and grievous bodily harm with intent. The accused, who cannot be identified because of their age, are jointly charged with robbing their alleged victim of £40 with a kitchen knife.
The other juvenile is accused of attempted rape, aiding and abetting rape, armed robbery, GBH with intent and making threats to kill. Belfast youth court was told that when charged with rape, the accused made no reply. The boy charged with aiding rape said: "I didn't rape nobody".
The pair are expected to appear before Belfast Magistrates Court on Monday. The boys were remanded in custody.
The woman, in her late teens, was attacked as she walked through Woodvale Park in the Shankill area on the evening of Monday 4 December.
