Cannabis plants with an estimated street value of £33,000 have been found in a raid at a house in Kent.

Two men were arrested on suspicion of cultivating the 134 plants when police discovered the drugs factory in Cottall Avenue, Chatham on Thursday.

A 37-year-old man from the London area was released on police bail pending further inquires. A 71-year-old man was released without charge.

Kent Police said the find was made following a tip-off from the public.

"This is a significant find and a blow to those who are intent on profiting from drugs," said Det Insp John Coull.

"I would like to thank Medway residents for their support."
