The teenager was the only son of Deborah and Paul Clements, of Rawmarsh, near Rotherham, who died in the crash on the A64 at Staxton on 21 September. Their car was involved in a collision with a coach taking children and adults to a marching band competition. Six passengers suffered minor injuries. The coach driver, a 52-year-old man from Staffordshire, was arrested and has been released on bail. A North Yorkshire Police spokesman said on Monday: "Paul and Deborah had one child - a 16-year-old son." Relatives of the dead couple said in a statement: "The family of Debbie and Paul are truly devastated by this tragic event and would request that their privacy be respected during this difficult time." |
