Search resumes for elderly walker Ashes scatter widow sparks search

The search for an elderly woman missing on a mountain in Perthshire has resumed. A 76-year-old woman who had been missing in the Perthshire mountains has turned up safe and well.
The woman, who is in her 70s, had been walking with her son on Schiehallion on Sunday when they became separated, and she was reported missing. The pensioner had been out with her son on Sunday to fulfil her husband's dying wish of having his ashes scattered on Schiehallion.
Tayside Police are co-ordinating the search, which has also involved rescue teams from RAF Leuchars and Lossiemouth. However, they became separated and rescue teams from Tayside Police and RAF Leuchars and Lossiemouth launched a search for her.
Police said the woman was not equipped to spend a night on the hill. She walked into a doctor's surgery in Kinloch Rannoch at 0915 BST on Monday.
