Two men have been arrested on a train after a caretaker was stabbed in the face as he chased a thief he found inside a school. A 17-year-old - one of two men arrested over the stabbing of a school caretaker - has been released without charge.
A man had been held by staff after he had broken into King Edward VI Grammar School in Stratford-upon-Avon but he broke free using a pair of scissors. The 34-year-old victim was stabbed in the face after chasing a man he found inside King Edward VI Grammar School in Stratford-upon-Avon.
He was then chased by the victim, a member of staff and sixth formers. Hours after the incident on Friday, Warwickshire Police arrested the 17-year-old and a 25-year-old man on a Stratford to Birmingham train.
Warwickshire Police said children alerted them to two suspects on a Stratford to Birmingham train. They were arrested for assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
Officers met the train at Earlswood Lakes Station and two men were arrested and taken to Leamington Police Station for questioning.

Det Ch Insp Adrian Pearson said it was "early days" but he thanked the members of the school, retailers, and the public who became caught up in the chase through the town and nearby gardens.
"We are very lucky that we are not investigating a murder," he said.
"It was a vicious assault and his injuries could have been much more serious.
"We have made two arrests and enquiries are ongoing."
