Boy, 13, guilty of rape charges

A 13-year-old schoolboy from north Devon has been remanded for pre-sentence reports after admitting two charges of rape.

The teenager pleaded guilty when he appeared at Exeter Crown Court.

The boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, pleaded guilty to two charges of rape of a child under 13.

Judge Graham Cottle adjourned the case for reports, granted bail and ordered him to sign on the Sex Offenders' Register within three days.
