https://www.rt.com/news/426272-chocolate-truck-crash-poland/ Version 0 of 1. A single vehicle collision has left firefighters in Poland with a puzzling challenge – how do you clean up the 24 tons of melted chocolate the truck was carrying? The ‘confectionary tanker’ overturned on a motorway between Slupca and Wrzesnia Wednesday, with images from the scene showing puddles of chocolate covering the roadway. As the 10-wheeler truck made its way down the A2 motorway, it struck a barrier on the central median, unleashing its sweet, chocolatey cargo, reported Kontakt24 news. Photos of the crash, obtained and verified by RT.com, reveal how the tons of chocolate seeped out of three hatches on the roof of the truck’s container. According to TVN24, the driver of the vehicle was taken to hospital with a suspected broken arm. Local firefighters on the scene are now working out ways to clear the mess, with the Slupca Fire Department saying it could take some time to resolve. Together, we agreed that you need to use pressurized hot water, but it will take a while,” said Bogdan Kowalski, of the Slupca Fire Department. “The cooling chocolate is worse than the snow,” he added. An investigation by Poland’s Road Transport Office to determine the cause of the incident is now underway. They advised that the highway was blocked in both directions. It’s understood the vehicle belonged to a haulier which transports food in Poland. Think your friends would be interested? Share this story! |
