A shot was fired at a police car as officers pursued a stolen vehicle in Greater Manchester. Police officers were shot at as they pursued a stolen vehicle on a street in Salford.
One of the car's four passengers fired a gun on Eccles New Road, Eccles, Salford, before the car was driven off and abandoned. No-one was injured. Officers saw the stolen Skoda Octavia in Monton, Salford, on Thursday night and followed it.

The stolen car, which was being tracked by the police helicopter as it drove through Monton in Salford, was abandoned in Trafford Road at about 2030 BST on Thursday. A police helicopter, which had also been following the car, had tracked the man to the house.

The stolen Skoda was later found abandoned in Trafford Road.
No-one was hurt in the incident.
The man who lives in the Lascar Avenue house, Bill Cobbledick, told BBC News: "I just opened the door. He come in, shut the door behind him and dashed up the stairs.
