The Savannah Professional Firefighters Association identified the jet as a C-130 Hercules military airplane, and there has been no information on any injuries as of yet. Two people have died in the crash, according to local authorities. Chatham County Deputy Coroner Tiffany Williams says police informed her of the deaths, the AP reports. The National Guard has confirmed that five people were on board when the plane crashed, according to NBC affiliate WSAV.
