Mr Gordon is believed to have come to the UK with his family from Jamaica eight years ago.
Mr Gordon's cousin Dwayne Parch, 20, said: "He was stabbed from behind while standing by the wall. He was stabbed in the left side of the neck."
Friend Sasha Sinclair, 21, said: "He wasn't a person who would get into trouble.
"It is a massive shock, he was like family to me."
James Gouldburne, 43, a parking attendant, said: "I have known his father from when we were both in the army in Jamaica together 25 years ago. Lucan's family moved here eight years ago.
"He was studying for his theory driving test because he wanted to be a driver."
'Soaked in blood'
Lizzy Okyere, 25, who lives in a flat next to the club, said: "I looked through a gap in my fence and saw a young man lying down.
"He was wearing white trainers and was soaked in blood.
"They were trying to resuscitate him but he wasn't moving.
"He was lying there on his own because the police had moved everyone inside," she said.
