The plane said to belong to US-Bangla, a Bangladeshi airline reportedly came down on the east side of Tribhuvan International Airport's runway. Photos and videos posted on social media show smoke rising from the airport's runway. According to the latest information from airport officials, the airplane was carrying 67 passengers. A total of 17 aboard the aircraft have been rescued, Reuters reports. It's unclear whether crew members are included in the figures.
Officials say the plane caught fire while landing at the airport, according to AP. No deaths have been reported, but an airport spokesman told the Kathmandu Post that casualties are expected. Some 14 people have already been rescued from the crash, including four crew members, local media report. Bodies have been also recovered from the crash site, according to an official cited by AFP. Some 20 badly burnt bodies were recovered from the crash, Wion TV has reported, citing witnesses.
“We are trying to bring the fire under control. Details are awaited,” airport spokesman Birendra Prasad Shrestha said, as cited by Reuters. The plane said to belong to US-Bangla, a Bangladeshi airline reportedly came down on the east side of Tribhuvan International Airport's runway. 
Local journalists speaking to Wion TV reported the airplane, which was traveling from Bangladesh to Nepal, skidded off the runway before catching fire and crashing in a nearby football field. No deaths have been announced so far, but an airport spokesman earlier told the Kathmandu Post that casualties are expected.
