Arson fears over rugby club blaze

A fire at the home of Machynlleth Rugby Club in Powys is being treated as suspected arson.

The blaze, discovered early on Friday, extensively damaged the building. Firefighters took four hours to bring the blaze under control.

It is thought the incident may be linked to fires started in rubbish bins in Machynlleth's main street a short time earlier.

Police have appealed for witnesses who may have been near the rugby club.
