A suspicious object has been found concealed in a hedge in Jonesboro, south Armagh. A bomb has been discovered concealed in a hedge in a border area of County Armagh, the police have said.
It was discovered at 1600 BST on Saturday following reports that a device had been left in the village. A security alert has been ongoing in the area since Saturday afternoon, following reports of a device being left in the village.
Police had warned people who found anything suspicious not to touch it but contact detectives instead. On Sunday, police said that Army bomb experts were removing what is understood to be "a viable device".
