Version 0 of 1.

A construction firm excluded from bidding for government contracts, put at £800m, has won a High Court action.

Lawyers for McLaughlin and Harvey Ltd had argued the Department of Finance's shortlisting process was flawed and in breach of European law.

The Mallusk-based company wanted to be included on a list of companies eligible to tender for major projects.

A further hearing next month will determine if damages are paid or the firm can access the tendering process.

Mr Justice Deeny found a number of issues should have been disclosed.
