Andrew Wanoghu had been extradited from the United States in connection with the shooting of clubber Damian Cope in Holborn in London five years ago. Charges against him were dropped.
In response to Mr Cope's death his mother Lucy set up the anti-guns campaign Mothers Against Guns.
