Specialists teams have started searching in the area where a woman's body was found dumped in a ditch.

Gemma Adams, 25, disappeared from Ipswich on 15 November after going to work as a prostitute in the town.

Her naked body was found on Saturday by a fish warden in a brook at Thorpe's Hill, near Hintlesham.

The discovery has increased fears for the safety of 19-year-old prostitute Tania Nicol, who went missing from Ipswich on 30 October.

Police are carrying out a meticulous search of the area around Hintlesham.

A section of the A1071 was cordoned off whilst police carried out their inquiries.

Diving teams are also to be brought in to work in the area.

Det Ch Insp David Skevington appealed for the public's help to find Ms Adams' clothing and handbag.

She was last seen wearing a black Patrick running top, blue jeans with studs on the pockets and white and chrome trainers.

Mr Skevington said: "It's so important that people walking their dogs, going fishing or who live in the area keep an eye out for these items of clothing."

A post-mortem examination was carried out at Ipswich Hospital.

Suffolk Police said on Monday that they did not know exactly how she had died but tests were continuing.

The last confirmed sighting of Ms Adams was near the BMW garage on West End Road at 0115 GMT on 15 November.

Mr Skevington has also warned Ipswich's prostitutes to "look out for each other".

"Our message to prostitutes would be to look out for each other - let friends know where you are going and who you are with," he said.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Suffolk Police.
