“A mass brawl involving the use of cold weapons took place between two teenagers aged 17 and 16, who are related to this school,” deputy head of the Investigation Department for Perm Region, Sergey Sarapultsev, told reporters. It began when a knife fight broke out between the 11th grader and a former student “on the grounds of personal enmity,” Perm region’s Investigative Committee spokeswoman, Irina Neznamenova, told RT. The brawl then spilled into a classroom with fourth grade students. “The teacher and children tried to separate them, receiving injuries as a result,” the spokeswoman added.

At least 15 people were injured, according to the head of the Perm region’s press office. Twelve people were taken to hospital. A teacher and two teenagers are in a serious condition, while others received “slight injuries.” One of them, however, is said to have been taken to a police station, according to the region’s National Guard.
“The individuals who have injured themselves and others are boys, their condition is now being established, they are in hospital. It will also be determined whether they acted under the influence of alcohol, drugs or anything else. All witnesses will be interviewed as soon as possible,” he added. “I went to the school.
