A number of roads in Inverness had to be closed for about four hours while the bomb disposal squad dealt with a suspicious package in a phone box. Northern Constabulary said the incident, on Upper Kessock Street, happened between 1000 BST and 1400 BST on Saturday. The package was examined and found not to be dangerous. As a precaution, 30 people were taken to nearby Merkinch Primary School until the area was made safe. Officers said that their enquiries were continuing into the incident. |
