An announcement on its website said: "It is with the very greatest sadness that I have to inform you that Marcus Egerton-Warburton tragically died in a road accident in South Africa. Secretary Mike Samuelson said the club was devastated by the news.
"He was a delightful boy," he said.
"It's tragic. Marcus had spent two to three weeks here with his father before he went on holiday. He was a keen sailor."
An announcement on the club's website said: "It is with the very greatest sadness that I have to inform you that Marcus Egerton-Warburton tragically died in a road accident in South Africa.

Mr Samuelson said Marcus' father has flown to South Africa adding that Marcus and his brother Piers were "his love and life".
Marcus was studying at Eton College and previously attended Ashdown House School in Forest Row, East Sussex.
Friends of the schoolboy have set up an online memorial on social network site Facebook, where tributes have been posted.
One said: "Absolutely devastated. Such a nice guy who always had a smile on his face and a joke in his pocket... Eton will never forget you."
