Father collects dead son's grades Families 'proud' of boys' grades

The father of teenager killed days before he was due to sit his GCSE exams is due to collect his son's coursework grades later. The families of two 16-year-old boys stabbed to death have said they were "proud" of their GCSE grades.

A 19-year-old man is due to appear at the Old Bailey later charged with Jimmy's murder. Ben achieved two A* and three As in his nine subjects, while Jimmy received five C grades in his coursework.

The family will then host an exam party at their home which will also be a celebration of Jimmy's life. Ben achieved A* grades in art and media; A grades in English language, English literature and religious education; B grades in maths, information and communications technology and single science; and a C in additional science.
He also got B grades in adult literacy and numeracy qualifications.
Ben's sister, East Enders actress Brooke Kinsella, said: "We are so, so very proud of Ben - he worked so hard to achieve these fantastic results and it hurts that he is not here to celebrate them with us.
"In September he would have been going to college to study graphics, fine art, economics and maths and although it is devastating for our family that he will not be doing this, we are extremely proud of everything he has ever aimed for and achieved."

The family said they will celebrate his results.
Jimmy's father Barry Mizen joined his dead son's former classmates when they collected their GCSE results at St Thomas More Catholic school in Eltham.
"We're very proud of the amount of work he put into this and we're very proud of what he's achieved," he said.
"It's very painful. He should have been here himself with his friends. I think it's a very long process. We're not looking for closure, we're learning to live with this."
Jimmy received C grades in English language, English literature, maths, applied science and religious education. He was awarded a B grade for his certificate of personal effectiveness and a C grade for adult literacy and numeracy.

Juress Kika and Michael Alleyne, both 18, and Jade Braithwaite, 19, have all been charged with his murder.
