Two homes in Londonderry have been flooded after a torrential downpour caused disruption across the city. A road has subsided in Londonderry and many areas of the city suffered flooding after torrential rain.
The Waterside area was the worst affected, with raw sewage from a burst manhole cover running down the Limavady Road. The Rossdowney Road in the Waterside subsided in the downpour and NI Water said two properties were flooded after Wednesday's downpour.
Motorists had to negotiate waters of up to two-feet deep at one stage, but the flooding has now receded. Raw sewage ran along the Limavady Road and, at one stage, drivers had to negotiate up to 2ft of water.
One resident said flooding was an ongoing problem in the area. A clean-up operation is to get under way later.
