Rugby stars in court over assault

Two rugby league players from Bradford have appeared in court charged with assault at a house in the city.

Stuart Reardon, 26, who plays for Warrington Wolves, is accused of assaulting his wife Kay Reardon.

Leon Pryce, 26, who plays for St Helens, is charged with assault on Damon O'Brien at the same house.

Both men are also charged with using violence to gain entry to the property. Bradford magistrates adjourned the case until 4 September.

The court was told the assaults were alleged to have happened at a house on Westwood Hall on 12 July.

Both defendants were released on conditional bail.
