Police divers searching for a teenage boy have recovered a body from the River Medway in Kent. | |
The body, which has not been formally identified, was pulled from the river in Tonbridge on Sunday afternoon. | |
The teenager was seen getting into difficulties in the water after jumping into the river near Tonbridge Castle at about 2245 BST on Saturday. | |
He was seen trying to swim to the far bank. Kent Police said there were not treating the incident as suspicious. | |
A post mortem will be carried out in due course. |
