Version 0 of 1.

A seven-year-old American girl based in Britain with her mother has disappeared during a supervised visit to her father in the US.

Reigh Storrow Boss was spending time with father Clark Rockefeller in Boston on Sunday, along with a social worker.

Local police say that as the group walked along, Mr Rockefeller grabbed his daughter and jumped into a people carrier that had pulled up alongside.

The social worker tried to cling to the car and was dragged a short distance.

Mr Rockefeller and his daughter were later seen being dropped off at New York's Grand Central Station in a different car.

Boston police have issued an arrest warrant for Mr Rockefeller on charges of custodial kidnapping, assault and battery and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon - the people carrier.

They said Mr Rockefeller uses a variety of aliases including J.P. Clark Rockefeller, James Frederick, Clark Mill Rockefeller and Michael Brown.

He does not belong to the Rockefeller dynasty that earned its fortune in the oil industry.

The missing girl's mother, Sandra Boss, works for McKinsey & Co in London.

She is a Harvard graduate who has worked for New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg and is also on the board of The Mount, author Edith Wharton's estate.
