Clashes have broken out between police and demonstrators in Belgrade at a rally in support of captured former Bosnian Serb leader Radovan Karadzic. At least 10,000 supporters of the former Bosnian Serb leader, Radovan Karadzic, have demonstrated in Belgrade to protest at his arrest.
Several people were injured as riot police fired tear gas at groups of protesters armed with rocks and flares. Clashes broke out between police and small groups of protesters during the final speeches at the rally organised by the nationalist Radical Party.

Rioters threw rocks, burning flares and fireworks at police. A number of protesters and policemen were reported hurt. One eyewitness, Henry Langston, told the BBC that the rioters, mainly young people, attacked police with metal poles, dustbins, anything they could get their hands on.
