A murder inquiry has been launched after a 32-year-old man died following a "large-scale disturbance" in the Carmyle area of Glasgow.

Police found five men injured when they were called to Carmyle Avenue at about 1810 BST on Sunday.

The men, aged between 21 and 38, were taken to hospital but the 32-year-old was pronounced dead on arrival.

The four other men are being treated for their injuries. Police want anyone with information to contact them.

Det Insp Stephen Grant, of Strathclyde Police, said: "Enquiries are ongoing to establish the circumstances surrounding this death.

"I would appeal to anyone who was in the area of Carmyle Avenue at Gardenside Avenue yesterday evening and may have witnessed the disturbance take place, or anyone with information, to contact our incident room at London Road police office."
