A 16-year-old boy arrested over the murder of a teenager who was shot dead in Sheffield has been released on bail.

Tarek Chaiboub, 17, from Wincobank, was shot in a barber' shop on Spital Street, Burngreave, on 11 July.

Nineteen-year-old Javan Galloway, of Nottingham Street, has been charged with stabbing Mr Chaiboub in an incident on 6 July.

He has been remanded in custody and will appear before Sheffield Crown Court on 1 August.

Police said a handgun was found near Tarek's body - though it was not used to shoot him and it is not clear whether he was carrying it.

Officers have not recovered the murder weapon.
