Version 0 of 1.

Two people have been killed in a bomb attack at a police headquarters in the east of Yemen.

The dead are reported to have been the suicide bomber himself and a policeman.

Eight others are reported to have been injured in the attack.

It took place in the town of Sayun, in the province of Hadramawt.

Militants said to be linked to al-Qaeda have admitted being behind a number of recent attacks in Yemen.

A month ago the authorities said they had arrested Haitham bin Saad, alleged to be one of the most wanted al-Qaeda militants there.

The government has also been fighting an insurgency by Shia rebels in the north of the country.
