Version 0 of 1.

At least 12 people have been killed in Nigeria's main city, Lagos, when a petrol tanker burst into flames.

Eyewitnesses say the driver lost control and hit a kerb. A bus and another tanker were also engulfed by the huge fire.

It was the latest in a series of incidents involving tankers in Lagos.

The Lagos authorities recently banned heavy vehicles from parking on the streets, and have started constructing out-of-town parking areas.

An official at a local hospital told the BBC's Umar Elleman there had been "massive" casualties.

He says a bus driver ignored warnings to stop and the vehicle then caught fire.
