Flight 5869, which had 65 people including crew members on board, had arrived from Aspen after a short one-hour flight when the incident occurred, local Fox31 Denver reported. The affected plane was operated by Utah-based SkyWest Airlines, a regional carrier serving more than 200 US cities. The cause of the fire is as of yet unknown but an investigation is now under way. “All runways are now open as investigation into SkyWest fire continues. Other airport operations remain unaffected,” airport officials said, as cited by local media outlet KDVR.com.
