Version 0 of 1.

At least two people have been killed in bomb attacks in the latest violence in Pakistan's Balochistan province, officials and witnesses say.

Twelve others, including six soldiers, were injured in the attacks, they say.

Armed nationalist rebels have targeted natural gas installations in the Dera Bugti area for several years.

The rebels want greater autonomy and local control over oil and gas. They have been fighting the security forces around Dera Bugti since Saturday.

On Monday, a remote-controlled explosion in Dera Bugti blew up an Frontier Corp (FC) vehicle, killing two road construction workers and injuring nine others, including four FC soldiers.

Two more FC soldiers were injured when another remote-controlled explosion blew up their vehicle in the neighbouring Jafferabad district.

The rebels fired several rockets at FC positions and natural gas installations in the area on Tuesday morning, injuring at least one civilian employee of the FC, and blowing up a gas pipeline.

Dera Bugti region is home to Pakistan's major gas fields and gas distribution grids.

Over the weekend at least six Pakistani troops and many separatist rebels were killed in Balochistan province, the authorities say.

Troops say they came under attack in the Dera Bugti area late on Saturday. The rebels say 25 innocent people died.
