Version 0 of 1.

A man has been shot dead in Dublin, the second fatal shooting in the city in 24 hours.

The latest victim, who was 33, was shot dead outside a house in the Kippure Park estate in Finglas, not far from Dublin Airport.

A gunman approached him outside the house just after midnight and shot him dead, before running off.

Gardai are investigating if the killing is linked to the murder of a 34-year-old man in nearby Coolock on Friday.

Anthony Foster was killed by a man with a sawn-off shotgun as he left his flat on his way to collect his children from a creche.

The victim was released recently from jail after serving a six-year sentence for drug dealing.

Two other men were shot and injured in the area recently, and another was killed in a pub in nearby Artane in April.

Saturday's shooting is the fifth so-called gangland murder in the Dublin area this year.
