To the Editor: Re “Tech Billionaires Reinvent Schools, With Students as Beta Testers” (front page, June 7): Why do we persist in subjecting children to dubious education experiments when we could copy systems that have proved effective? In international tests of competence in reading, math and science, the highest-ranking students are invariably from Finland, Singapore, Hong Kong and our neighbor Canada.
